The biggest change apart from the styling on the all-new 2022 Toyota Tundra is the introduction of the iForce and iForce Max powertrains. The standard i-Force engine is a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 producing 389 horsepower and 479 lb.-ft. of torque. If you choose the entry-level SR grade, the engine produces 348 horsepower and 405 lb.-ft. of torque. The showstopper for the new Tundra is the i-Force Max hybrid powertrain. The numbers alone are extremely impressive: 437 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and a staggering 583 lb.-ft. of torque at only 2,400 rpm.

The numbers are impressive but how the Tundra achieves them is the best part. The new i-Force Max relies on the same twin-turbo V6 engine but features a unique attribute, a motor-generator with a clutch located within the bell housing between the engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. In essence, the motor-generator is built in line to provide additional power that is transferred efficiently via the transmission, while the engine starts up, electric driving, electric assist, and energy regeneration are solely done via the parallel hybrid components. Gas mileage is great at about 20 miles per gallon during combined driving. You can choose either rear-wheel drive or 4×4 to put that power to the ground. The maximum towing capacity is 12,000 pounds with a maximum payload capacity of 1,940 pounds.

There is a new 2022 Toyota Tundra model for everyone. 2022 Tundra grades include SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794, TRD Pro, and new-for-2022 Capstone. With MSRP starting at $35,950 and ranging all the way up to the high $70,000s, there’s a 2022 Tundra for every budget too!

The interior luxury, safety, and technology features are shown all over the new 2022 Tundra. Standard features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an eight-inch center touchscreen, smart key access with push-button start, and Toyota Safety Sense 2.5.

Advanced available features include the famed Tundra rear window that rolls down completely, a 14-inch center touchscreen, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, trailer merge warning, power front seats, a power sliding dual-pane panoramic sunroof with shade, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster display, heated and ventilated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, rearview mirror camera, surround-view parking cameras, 10-inch color heads-up display, power deploying running boards with BedStep, adaptive variable suspension, load-leveling rear suspension, and so much more!
