Landers Chevrolet of Norman hosts the Norman Public Schools’ Learning Bus

This summer, we at the  Landers Auto Group are proud to announce that the Landers Chevrolet Norman dealership is hosting and sponsoring the Norman Public Schools Learning Bus. This bus meets kids where they are at in their social, educational, and nutritional journeys as they wait for the next school year to begin. Read on for details about the learning bus and its summer schedule. 

Every Monday through Thursday until August 5th, the Learning Bus will stop at various locations for an hour along with the Sodexo food truck. The truck will provide free breakfast and lunch for any students 18 and younger, ensuring students receive the nutrition they need during the summer months. The learning bus offers a physical book library and Wi-Fi access for students to complete reading assignments or work on projects they would be unable to do at home. In addition to the educational benefits, the Learning Bus offers a fun opportunity for kids to fill their summer hours.

 The bus operates at multiple different locations throughout the week and will be mobile from 9:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. every Monday through Thursday. The bus will be stopping at various places like schools, community centers, and parks. We’re proud that Landers Chevrolet of Norman is one of those stops! You can come to our dealership and meet the learning bus on Thursdays from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

  We are excited to participate in the expanding learning opportunities and resources available to Norman students. While the Learning Bus program is still young, we are eager to see how this mobile concept can impact our students in the Norman Public School system.
